Calculate the block quantity needed (pcs) for a wall based on area, block type and joint thickness — with margin, weight and an estimated price.
| Step | Formula |
|---|---|
| Net area | (length × height) − opening area |
| Blocks / 1 m² | 1 ÷ ((block length + joint) × (block height + joint)) |
| Quantity | Net area × blocks/m² × (1 + margin % / 100), rounded up |
When you choose a block type, the joint thickness is automatically set to a typical value (thin-bed adhesive for AAC — 2-3 mm, mortar for masonry — 10-12 mm) — you can adjust it with the slider.
AAC blocks are usually bonded with a thin (2–3 mm) layer of special adhesive, while traditional concrete/ceramic blocks use a thicker (10–12 mm) cement masonry mortar.
5% is standard — covers cutting losses and transport defects. For complex-shaped walls (many corners, niches) — up to 10%.
Yes, if you know the exact opening area — enter it so the calculator gives a more accurate (lower) block quantity.
